The boy has been identified as Samuel K. Yoder, authorities confirmed to Daily Voice on Monday, July 31.
He was struck and run over at a farm located in the 150 block of Fulton Britain Road in Little Britain Township, according to a Grothey.
Emergency medical services were called to the scene at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, he explained.
The first responders "attempted life-saving measures, but the boy ultimately succumbed to his injuries," he Grothey said.
PSP Lancaster Criminal Investigative Unit responded to the scene to investigate this incident.
A "preliminary investigation determined the death to be accidental," he said.
The Lancaster County Coroner’s office assisted on the scene.
"Samuel attended the Old Order Amish Church," as stated in his obituary.
Samuel is survived by his parents Jacob M. and Sarah S. Stoltzfus Yoder; his six siblings; grandparents Henry K (Emma F. Miller Yoder) of Peach Bottom, Levi S. (Barbara Stoltzfus Stoltzfus) of Oxford; great-grandmothers Leah Yoder of WV, and Lizzie Miller of Quarryville, as detailed in his obituary.
His funeral service took place at his family home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 9 a.m. His body was interred in the Fairmount Amish Cemetery, according to his obituary.
